The Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) is a professional organization that works to advance the theory and practice of moving image archiving. Adhering to AMIA’s mission and spirit, the AMIA Student Chapter at the University of Alabama (UA) was founded in 2020 to provide students in the Audiovisual Preservation & Archiving track, and students with an interest in audiovisual archiving, a forum for socialization, networking, and professional development.
